well i can see why this is related, because its another case that is extreme and indefensible, yet brings up issues that i think are valid

i am not a stupid person who will say that you have the right to say or show anything-- there are limits to freedom of expression no doubt...there was a lot of stuff in that movie it was like why is it in here? was the point to make a statement about inter-religious relationships in morocco? because it didnt work...all i got was dont drink and drive fast cars...a lot of scenes didnt fit together i agree:

though she showed a lot of innapropriate things, those things do exist, and she did not in my opinion glorify them, it was clear to see how f*****d up this girl was when she interrupted her brother praying bc she wants some jeans...the movie also shows more than just the vapid lives of elites in casa, when the boy comes home mn kharij and yea he is happy to see his mom but he is more happy to see the lady that raised him, thats the servant, the servants and drivers in the movie show an interesting counter balance to the life that those others are leading, good sense, dependable, loving. what i took away from that movie was just more disgust with the lives some people can live...and i think that the director also has some feelings like that to show what she showed.


btw you were wondering about the title, i found: "Marock is a wordplay on 'Maroc', the French name for Morocco. For me, the title illustrates my portrait of this group of young people, privileged but also kind of messed up and schizophrenic. They live according to Western ways but they're still very attached to their country and traditions. That was what people who saw the movie told me, i didn't say it should be executed. maybe just locked up.

It happened that i've been present in the environment of those people for a short period of my life (due to my previous occupation), i saw how they live, i entered their houses (villas), i ate their foods, i entered their bedrooms their toilets their kitchens....sit on thier desks....muslims, jews, french...u can say that i lived my own Marock...fortunately didn't see any s** scenes.
